Default Swedish yacht designers who worked at S&S

    Hi All.

Am trying to place the name of a well known Swedish yacht designer who did his design apprenticeship at S&S possibly in the late 30's early 40's.

    TIA

Are you thinking of K. Aage Nielsen? He was from Denmark, though.

Nielsen, however, didn't do an "apprenticeship" at S&S. He did a shipwright apprenticeship in Denmark, then worked as a draftsman at Burmeister & Wain before going to the John. G. Alden company as a draftsman/designer. Later he was the sole designer for S&S in the Boston office, and after WWII he went out on his own.
