    Default best fishing movies

Hands down, the best fishing movie of all time is and will probably always be A River Runs Through It.

Given the above, I put Jaws number two.

What are your favourites of the genre?
Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

Not a whole movie, but there was that opening sequence in Raiders when Indy comes running out of the jungle and his pilot has a fish on the line...that was golden in its day.

That was the third movie I ever saw in a theater and it dominated my dreams for several years after.

I agree about "A river runs..."

Offhand, I can't think of a close second.

A river runs through it is one of my favorites. So is On golden pond.
How about a fishing music video?

The book is actually more about fishing than the movie. I love them both, despite more differences than some might expect.

The River Why was a good book. At least I thought so at 15 or so. Guess I missed the movie, didn't know it had been made until i googled the title just now.

Old Man and the Sea and A River Runs Through It are tied for first with me, but I figured PS should make this listing
