    Default I'm coming in

    Hello,
I have been a steady reader (hate the word "lurker") for quite a few years, but have never posted for various reasons.
But after 14+ years, I guess itís time Ė Iím missing all the fun.
I am from Portland Ė the original one on the East Coast Ė and I have met some of you at the Bauerís annual boat show soiree.
I am afraid I am kind of a failed wooden boat owner, although I do currently have a plywood pram that gets me back and forth to my Tartan 30 on Casco Bay.
In any case, Iím coming in.

Gary! Join date Nov 2004 and post number 1. That’s got to be a record. We need to catch up. I want to hear about progress on the garage project.

Yeah, I guess I could be a procrastinator.
But, fortunately the garage is coming along faster than my forum participation.
I will be shingling the roof as soon as the snow melts, and I bought some windows today from the Restore.
After that it's on to some clapboard siding and a couple of garage doors.
Then, of course, it will be time to lay the keel for my next dinghy. (I know how to think big!)

I'm sure that plywood pram is a proud little ship!
Please do stop in more often.

Calling your garage a 'boat shop' would make it eligible for discussion on these hallowed pages. Let's see your progress!

Welcome aboard. Being from that Portland is fine - we won't hold it against ya. Much.
