Rob should see this. The stiff water might perplex him.

We banned studded tires back when I tried ice racing. Frozen lakes attract lots of odd machinery--cars, motorcycles, hovercraft, airplanes, iceboats, snowmobiles..... Usually, there is drinking involved.

You should come visit the frozen north someday. We have our own brand of nuts.

My life precludes much possibity of distant travel, or Id be there tomorrow. Actually, I have a very good friend who moved to the Twin Cities a few years ago, and Id dearly love to see him.

Also, during my youth, I lived with serial relatives and families, and I spent a little more than a year living just outside Chicago. I have very fond memories of snow.

    And ghastly ones.

A cyclekart is next on the list for Youngest Son, after the pedal car. Hopefully it wont take 178 years, too. Id love a two seater to roll around my neighborhood. My wife and I could drive it to her grand grandparents, or the grocery store...

    Peace,
    Robert
