The location almost redefines the term, "Backside of Beyond"...

    I believe it's Gartside's design #120, not a Riff. https://store.gartsideboats.com/prod...der-design-120

    "Backside of Beyond"...
Not really. It is only 5-6 miles north of Sechelt, on a paved road. Or about the same by water. The Sechelt Inlet is a brilliant small-boat cruising area. Just stay away from the 14 kt tidal currents at the north end. There are houses on both sides of much of the inlet these days.

Looks like rbgrr is right about the design; this is #120, not Riff, which is smooth skinned.

I would so buy this if I didn't live on the opposite coast. Went for a kayak trip in that area before, takes a ferry from Vancouver to get there.

Someone about three hours drive from my place was advertising a Shellback for the same price a few years back and it didn't even have any sailing bits.

You can drive there going north from Vancouver through Squamish (good brew pub there). If I weren't already in mild trouble for boats I'd be there in a heartbeat

I live at the mouth of sechelt inlet before the rapids. And I'm pretty sure u can't drive from squamish. Maybe there is some logging roads I don't know about

OOPS! I'm proven wrong...again The roads I thought connected through do dead-end up the river a ways. Looks like the ferry to Hopkins is the only way. Road or ferry....my wife won't let me have it unless I get rid of something else

I can't complain too much...she let me buy a Santana 35 last year. It's still in restoration, but we're racing it anyway. And I found a Shearwater this summer. 'Course, now I have to build her a greenhouse and a wood fired oven...but I was doing that anyway
