Default Rob has probably already done this back in the day...

...but if not I apologise for giving you another YouTube rabbit hole full of cool things to disappear down.

My son and I have been watching this series of videos over the last few nights. We'd both give it a go on a closed road with no lamp posts and power poles, but we'd also both love to build a couple of machines for the sake of it.

I was just discussing gravity bikes with an old friend I ran into last week.

    Ah, salad days...

Cool Re: Rob has probably already done this back in the day...

Reminds me of coming down off The Henderson Bridge in Lorain.
I rode a bike over that bridge daily, in all kinds of conditions, for about 5 years.
Now I drive my truck over it.

'Gravitosos'! I love it. Totally insane, of course.

The first disc brakes I ever had were on a gravity bike.

Of course, Ive since gone faster on both a standard road bike and a mountain bike. We used to routinely ride trails up near Yosemite and when connecting sections, wed ride on Highway 41. We routinely passed cars on their way down the hill, as we descended to the next section.

Nothing like pedaling past a family in a mini van and waving. Sigh. I miss 55 tooth chainrings...

Have you ever heard of cyclekarts? Oh, man, if I ever get anything done, I might need one of those.
