I saved the photo to clipboard, pasted into IrfanView which is free, rotated it and saved it, then posted it again.
I don't mind treeless; I spent many of my younger years hundreds of km north of the treeline.

Boat building timber at Laulasi. That wood was like poured concrete.

BIG boat building Lau Lasi. I think this boat, at that point, was 20 years in the building. It takes so long for people to save the money for the next fasteners and planks that often the keel rots or is eaten through before the boats are finished.

Boats are being built every where along the lagoon, but few are ever launched.

It should be a cheap place to have a boat built from high quality timber. But if you don't have a local connection they'll rip you off big time, and even then you'll probably get ripped off.
It's all fun and games until Darth Vader comes.
The Cote Sauvage,just west of the Quiberon peninsula.If you zoom in you will see some specks in the water,they are surfers not seals.
