The one thing they all have in common is that the edges must match when laid flat. Some have teeth, but many don't. It should be easy to design your own.

Looks good. It is not a difficult model. But this is my first boat project.
So maby it is better for me to start with a set of plans.

The Svenson's free plans are all drawn before we had epoxy glues. They are hopelessly out of date.

If you wanted to try a sailing outrigger canoe, the simplest design for folding would be a deep-V hull, like the simpler Wharram catamaran hulls (it could be done for both the hull and the outrigger hull, but a light glass-over-foam outrigger hull might serve better). The two halves of the V-hull lay flat, of course, and when spread and locked in with a thwart or two, a nice sheer and rocker curve form automatically. The nice thing about this design, is that you can make easy mock-ups in a couple of long pieces of cardboard or even heavy paper, taped at the keel, and play cheaply-quickly with many iterations until you have a hull form that suits you, then transfer measurements to the plywood. -- Wade

Try the flip tail - if you want to stow it in the cabin of a yacht then it won't take up much room:'

I built the Fliptail 7, and love it: http://forum.woodenboat.com/showthre...g-Dinghy-Build She is intended to carry a cut-down Opti sprit rig, but I like standing lug better, so I had Sailrite build me the kit.

Wooden Widgets has several different plans for other types of sailing folding dinghy, too, both hard-shell and fabric-sided.

As mentioned above, there is Fliptail, from Wooden Widgets, as well as Origami https://woodenwidget.com/origami.htm There is also Flapdoodle from Duckworks http://www.duckworksbbs.com/product-p/flapdoodle-id.htm. I built a Fliptail 9 and can say that the plans are incredibly thorough and lucid.

Before I built the Fliptail I looked for SeaHopper plans but came up empty.

Fedde, Bootholland in Leeuwarden will have a diy stand and you should go to the Traditionele Schepenbeurs in Den Helder next month. I am sure you will find inspiration and practical help there.
My pet project for you is to build a Strike 16 or another tri from Richard Woods. You start with a set of plans and find an old catamaran that comes free or almost free. Then you only have to build a central hull, and connect the cat hulls as amas and you will have a very cool boat.
And you are welcome to talk boats. Sneek/Groningen is one hour apart. Frank

I remember a folding boat that came out in the early 1940's under the name of "The Fold Flat Dinghy". I believe it was a patented boat that was sold as a tender.

I own two SeaHoppers, and like them very much. I'm not aware of any published plan.
