I have been reading about this... and it's possibly the MOST outrageous attempt to rig an election that I've yet heard of.

It's the GOP plan, though: win by gerrymandering and denying voter registration.

They can't win on policy, so they need to cheat.
"Reason and facts are sacrificed to opinion and myth. Demonstrable falsehoods are circulated and recycled as fact. Narrow minded opinion refuses to be subjected to thought and analysis. Too many now subject events to a prefabricated set of interpretations, usually provided by a biased media source. The myth is more comfortable than the often difficult search for truth."

Is GOP style anything like Gangnam style? Somebody needs to remake this and bring it up to date.

Seems the citizens have lost control of the country, let alone a state. It's not a democracy so I've been told, so is it a banana republic by now?

    Hmm,

I posted a thread about making sure you are registered.

    http://forum.woodenboat.com/showthre...88#post5692988

    Want to change Washington?

    Don't yell at Senators

Don't shout at people in restaurants

    Don't rage on past votes

    Don't whine about things

    Instead:

    1. Register to vote, if you haven't already.
    2. If you think you are registered, check that you are still on the register.
    3. Get your friends to do the same.
    4. VOTE !
    5. Get your friends to do the same.

You will get your chance to change Washington (and the USA) in less than 30 days.

    I also posted
It sounds like it would be too late now for anyone to register for this election.
IIRC among the responses were :

    ur funny
    ^ and not 'haha' funny. . .

Everything is binary with reds. It always seems to be either/or with them.

Oh, yeah, thanks. I didn’t know you were talking about Washington DC.
We have two, you know? Did you know that?
    Specificity, and all.
Plus, it was a joke. True, it had no slurs, bad stereotypes, or put downs, but some humor gets by without. In the event you were not aware.

I voted a few weeks ago troll.

More false information from our offshore right wing troll.

Want to change how news is portrayed? Stop reposting right wing Republican drivel. Do your part RP!

Many states allow you to register the day you vote with proof but, proof is an entirely different kettle of fish in itself.

In this state you can register on voting day just prior to voting.

In some cases or states the SAME DAY!
    Suddenly everyone cares???

"Need"? The only way to justify the use of that word is to assert that these people would suffer harm if they did not cheat.

    They CHOOSE to cheat.

That decision is not driven by 'need', but by 'greed'.

They crave power that is not rightfully theirs.

They crave power over brown people, over women, and over anyone else who will not toady up to their authoritarian, white-supremacist Messiah, and they do not have the consent of those they would oppress.

Therefore, the 'Republican' Party is nothing more than a criminal gang, bent upon the destruction of the Republic.

I'm sure that the Trumpists among you will dismiss this post as the ravings of some sort of Communist, but it is not.

Imagine this post delivered in low, measured tones through clenched teeth at a range of 16 inches, and you will begin to get the idea.

If you support Trump, you are conspiring to overthrow the Constitution.

It really is Just. That. Simple.

If you want to overthrow the duly constituted government of the US, and replace it with a totalitarian police state founded upon 'Christianity', fiat authority and white, male supremacy, then I suppose that is your prerogative, but have the common decency to be honest with yourselves about it.

We already know, and it's time for you to wake up to the insane, anti-American horror that you are creating with your fear, lies and ignorance, and you can be sure that if you keep on we Liberals will crush you just like we crushed King George.

It may take 13 Democrats voting in order to get 10 votes counted

Anyone want to guess how the high court will decide when the lawsuits reach it?
