Brett did quite a snow job on her. Of course, I do want to know what McNuggets promised her for a yes vote. I'm guessing not much as in the tax break legislation she voted yers on.

She has yet to be spanked on Election Day. So there is no reason for her to display integrity.

Lindsey said “God help us” a lot.

Collins conveniently ignored Kavanaughs hysterical partisan rant.

She's not my Senator - but lets be honest. She's just not very good. Got anyone to run against her? By 'anyone', I mean 'good'.

I think this might be what ends her career, lot's of very pissed on women's, and the middle class educated female vote has been her core, if Kavanaugh brings down roe v wade she is done here she is probably done.

Bath iron works will continue to get navy contracts, Portsmouth naval shipyard will continue to reffit subs (they looked at closing the yard A few years back), Pratt and Whitney will keep building jet engines for the F-35 so yes she brings home the bacon.

She always votes in line with her party. She just likes the attention.

Her grandstanding took the form of a 45 minute speech that likely was not written in a few hours. She has known for days (or longer) how she would vote, but chose to put the country through the angst anyway. The drama over how she was so torn was a performance staged for her own cover. As well, McConnell knew how she would vote, or he would not have pushed for the Saturday vote. I'm not happy about how things played out, but glad its over.

I just don't understand how she gets away with painting herself as a moderate. Just be who you are Ms Collins, it would be so much easier for the rest of us. Spare us the act next time please.

The funding for her eventual opponent is above $2million - even before her announcement. The organizers vow to hit it hard if she follows thru with her 'yes' vote. Anyone want to predict what size war chest she'll be facing?

Apparently, Collins went to Bush 2 for advice about Kavanaugh, a big supporter of his.I mean would you seek advice from a guy who started the Iraq War 2? I mean, really.

She's 65 and she puts her reelection ahead of what is right. Her behavior is offensive.

She should resign but, after LaPew leaves office, go home and bake cookies, that's what Grassley would want her to do, know her place in a male dominated world.

Oh, give me a break! She's standing up for women by voting for Kavanaugh? She's selling women down the river.

Let us not have you men tell us all what Collins may or may not be "doing for women." I imagine she has at least as good an idea as any of you.

Not all women think alike (after all). Millions of them in the US support Kavanaugh's appointment.

They don't need this bunch of elderly white men to figure it all out for them.

She makes a big deal out of being a "moderate", but she only votes against the party when it doesn't matter. McConnell lets her have a few no votes to keep up her act. but never on something the repugs think is important. It would be very nice if a decent candidate would run against her, but so far that hasn't happened.

You shouldn't presume to tell me what to do: I am an abuse survivor (next door neighbour as a kid), and I have witnessed sexual harassment in university settings, the workplace and even seen other men try to grope my own partner with me present. I've acted promptly when I could, but my own story was held back for 15 years before I relieved myself of victimhood and unburdened the awfulness that I endured as a kid.

That Collins is indicating that none of this matters to the women and other abuse survivors of America (and the World) is an act of extreme cowardice, evil and is repugnant. She is one of the new breed of Ludwig Kaas 'enablers' that will not just keep the hideous patriarchal status quo in place, but further reinforce it.

Women can enable sexism and patriarchy too. Why do you think they can't? Are you that daft?... Oh... "Not all women think alike [snip]"
