Hopefully as the future years unfold, Andy, the sectarian animosities will fade and the murals artistry will improve...

Local Blues musicians Leland, Mississippi. Someone was repainting this one when I took the photo. I hope they got a ladder and repainted the top row.

It isn't actually a bike rack. Just a fence that I leaned my bike against. The bike is a 1966 Carlton and was 50 years old in 2016 when I took the photo. I figured that Clint could guard it for me.
    This is nearby.

Here's some local to me. There's more of the native bird series on the sides of shops, the lastest one that went up is stunning, but I can't find a picture on the interwebs. The wharf scene is Beach Haven Wharf, which s the opposite siede of the harbour from the old airforce flying boat base at Hobsonville, hence the relevance of the Short Sunderlands scene, they operated there from 1945 (replacing Catalinas) until 1965.

This one is on a wall at the top of the cycle path in the city that I use to get to the office most days.

It's really quite impressive close up.

Way too small to be a mural, but is on a wall in Clarksdale, Mississippi. It represents a tornado that hit the area a few years back.

A high school friend of mine moved out that way about 8-10 years ago. Between your pictures and hers, it appears to be a lovely place to live.

Congrats on a life well lived.

I visited Philadelphia for the first time in many years earlier this year. I was impressed the the quantity and variety of street murals. Poe was a resident of Philly.

Here's me in front of a sort of Art Deco-esque mural in a small town in Shipshewanna, Indiana, in the corner of Indiana near the Michigan border--a region the locals call, "Michianna."
