Default Woodenboat builders clubs in Hampton Roads

Are there any clubs or regular get togethers for wooden boat builder enthusiasts in the Hampton Roads or Northern Necks areas of VA? Thanks

Check out the Traditional Small Craft Association, https://tsca.net/ Then you should go to the Mid-Atlantic Small Craft Festival, first weekend in October, https://tsca.net/event/mid-atlantic-...raft-festival/ Lots of people there to talk to about these things in your area.

Yes, the Old Bay chapter of the TSCA is pretty active, with members all around your area. A couple of us live in Charlottesville, even.
The Reedville Fisherman's museum, on the NN, actively builds wooden boats - volunteer labor - and has a show in the spring, plus family boatbuilding events.
There's also a messabout every year on the middle peninsula, http://duckworksmagazine.com/the-38t...all-boat-meet/
There is also volunteer boat building at the museum in Yorktown.
The Deltaville Maritime museum, on the MP, has wooden boat building going on, as well.

And do come to the MASCF - it's a great event, with tons of cool boats.

    Cheers -

Thanks guys, sounds good. I was actually in Reedville this past weekend and picked up a bunch of ideas - am currently building an Albury 19-7 in my garage. I will check out the event in St Michaels. Appreciate the help.

I was at the boat show in Reedville with my Bluejacket boat. The museum has a boat shop there and we get together on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. We repair old boats, maintain the museum fleet, building a new push boat for the skipjack and get paid with peanuts.
The Deltaville museum also has a boat shop.
Several years ago there was a meeting with wooden boat enthusiasts in Mechanicsville but that was the only one.
