    I do most of my boating on lake Erie. I am not sure that the weekender would be a good choice with her low freeboard and lack of reserve stability. I am more interested in a seaworthy boat that sails good than I am with any kind of racing or performance sailing. So it's not the ability to point high that worries me so much as the ability to take a large wake when a big cruiser goes past very close. For background I sailed an o'day mariner for several years and felt safe enough.
