    Default Sailing skiffs SRR 2018

Some of the shots taken looking into the sun do not show the hull and the details as much as the ones taken with the sun behind me .
I was just sitting still and letting the craft to sail by on our way back into the harbor

I can't decide if the little biminis are my favorite, or that tiny topsail!

Love the fotos. Some annotation would be lovely if it's available. What designs? What owners/skippers?

Is the small topsail set and retrieved under sail from the cockpit or only when rigging the boat ashore/at the dock?

Lots of WBForum members in those pics. Thanks, Mike. Great shots. It really is cool seeing so many little boats out sailing/rowing together.

Good question. Andrew contributes occasionally and here's the thread for the topsail specifically. The boat is also featured in Small Boats 2014, pg. 66.

I’m not positive but I don't think it’s set underway.

Theoretically, there is no reason why it could not be set under sail, but I raise it before I leave the beach. This boat is a little tender (4 ft 3 in beam) so it might be a little tricky to raise while sailing. The main problem is that it tends to catch on the reefing lines as you bring it up and down.

    Wonderful! Thank you.
There is no rational, logical, or physical description of how free will could exist. It therefore makes no sense to praise or condemn anyone on the grounds they are a free willed self that made one choice but could have chosen something else. There is no evidence that such a situation is possible in our Universe. Demonstrate otherwise and I will be thrilled.

Use whatever shot you would like and don't worry about it. There was some really nice small craft and a wide variety of designs to see, which are not in our area of the country.
    Happy trails to you.

Thanks for adding this, I was going to have that topsail in my head the rest of the day if I didn't know how it got there.

I just saw this thread. I feel really guilty I never made it to the SRR. Is the Thistle Binnacle Bat?

    Affirmative!

Gareth, if you just show up for a day, we can get you in a boat.
