Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.
Great photos!

Those photos are a good advertisement for grounding your sailboat's mast.
I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.
Skiing is the next best thing to having wings.
I was expecting Ms Daniels again.

Screwed up photo reference for Cambria/ SW?
I have Uffa's blue books at home and he has some nice comments about Stormy Weather and how she was a better all round boat than Dorade. Might even treat myself to a look later.
Excellent photos !![]()

^ Probably is , I have references at home . I know her and Candida were in that period between Brittannia and the J class. Both were allowed in to the J class IIRC and raced in the fleet.
To this day I get the two mixed up and which one it was that visited here in the '80's. She was rigged as a ketch by then.
well lookit that... still have it. That below is either Candida or Cambria , I could say which one and then I'd find out it was the other.

That storm was nasty. Nothing some places, ripped out trees others. I was in Georgetown for it & got nothing but blues skies there. Vermont's had a few of these micro-burst storms over the last few years & they are not fun. I don't remember them in northern New England before the last few years. Anyone know if they are something new or just bad memory on my part?
