    One of the stumbling blocks in getting your Captains license is proving your sea service.
    If you are using your own boat to quality you will need.
    1. Hull ID number and a copy of the title with the HID number on it.
    2. Or State Registration Number and a copy of the registration.
    If you are using time spent on someones else boat you will need then to sign off on the Sea Service form.

    I would recommend you start ASAP documenting your sea service.

    Here is an example of the questions on the test.

    INLAND ONLY Your vessel is proceeding down a channel, and can safely navigate only within the channel. Another vessel is crossing your bow from port to starboard, and you are in doubt as to her intentions. Which statement is TRUE?
    Check the correct answer and "click" guess
    A. The sounding of the danger signal is optional.
    B. The sounding of the danger signal is mandatory.
    C. You should sound two short blasts.
    D. You should sound one prolonged and two short blasts.
