Surveyor Needed in San Diego

I've been looking for a project boat for some time and have finally found one that's peaked my interest. The boat is located in San Diego, California. Does anyone know of a good professional surveyor in that area. Someone with a good knowledge of wooden hulls (it's cedar on oak). There's so much fiberglass around here I don't want to end up with a local surveyor that knows nothing about wooden boats. The boat seems to be in pretty good shape to me. But I'd really like a professional opinion. I'd appreciate any specific references or sources for leads on this. -Thanks

YOu might contact Giffy Full and Associates. They are wooden boat experts. I'm pretty certain the WBsite has a link to them. Full is located in the NE, but Paul Haley (of Full and Associates) may be able to recommend someone to you.

As you note, there's lots of glass, and lots of glass-boat surveyors, but fewer and fewer know anything about wood. I talked to a party recently who'd purchased a boat sight unseen, based upon the surveyor's report. The individual is considering legal action (while he completely rebuilds a boat written up as needing minor work).
