It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

Needs a bumper. Pressure treated 4x4 would do it.

A bit shiny , but I could produce patina given some time and effort.

I drove one of those, once, built by my automotive-minded friend. Well, certainly similar, built from a kit, with a 5.1 liter Ford V8 in it.

I LOVE to drive.... but I can't say I enjoyed driving that thing. For one thing, the transmission is so far towards the rear, the stick is nearly horizontal, making shifting rather strange.

Too many now subject events to a prefabricated set of interpretations, usually provided by a biased media source. The myth is more comfortable than the often difficult search for truth."

No, I did it three times on a friends Corvette (worthless pos. The car, not my friend.) I did however remember the third time, about a nano second before I made contact.

Lee ignored my suggestions for his Honda ... you guys see burned legs, I see hot toasted sammiches.

Well, to be fair he didn't really ignore them. I suggested bacon and fried egg toasted, he pointed out he had a scrambler......

I drove behind one like that on a road here a while back. Pretty cool. You can tell there's no filler in the bodywork. Unless it's bloody vinyl wrap.

When god invented sports cars he forgot the anabolic steroids. On the seventh day while he was resting, he had a sudden brain storm...and remembered. He figured a small flight of fancy wouldn't hurt nuthin' on the Sabbath...and so the Cobra.

A beautiful, stunning really, very American form.

Except — it’s not an American form at all. It’s an English car (AC Ace) with and American lump added.

Actually, it's an English form.... with an American engine. Well, the originals were. Kits could be from anywhere... some even used a Toyota chassis.

Is that a Kirkham, Paul? My son visited their shop when he was living in Utah and was much impressed. That all aluminum body puts it well above a lot of other replicas.

Although, if I was to order all that panel beating done, I'd rather it turn out looking more like this, but that's just me.
