    The fish are fabulous. Do you work from a picture or just your imagination?

    Simple Portrait attempt.




    Sketch



    Blocking in the main light , mid and dark areas.



    Warming the skin tones and refining the image .

    More to come .

    You are good with colour sir, I tend to charcoal and blocking in shadow.

    I struggle with shadow colors Mr.Sibley.




    Black can look dead and flat at times , particularly in larger areas , so I tend to use the darker grey / blues .

    Another done with Aquarelle. Posted only because my sweetie says I need to work on staying humble. I say living with someone of her brains, beauty, dedication, and moral fibre does a fine job of that already. She ain't buying it <G>

    Nice and loose .

    It gives the piece a nice flowing movement type of feel .

    Working loose is another thing I struggle with.

    Its harder than it looks.
