    Default 5hp prop choices

Just bought a two-stroke Tohatsu. I don't have a hull for it yet but a light and skinny micro-skiff is right up there on the wishlist. The supplied prop is an 8" pitch bit the diameter has already been worn down to only 6.3", so a new prop will be required soon.
Given the speed potential of these small skiffs, is the 9" prop a better choice?
I'll most likely spend much of the time at more sedate speeds, with the throttle at "purr" setting but hopefully still covering good ground.

Well the agent only had 6, 7 and 8" available, so I took the 8.
What is the easiest way to determine rpm? I don't have much to compare with other than a 2hp Yamaha, but the revs sound pretty high. Very happy with performance though, here it is pushing a friend's 11ft cathedral hull at 14kts. Total displacement around 420lb. Cannot wait to try it on something like Fleet...
