    Default Happy Birthday Renee

    To my beautiful wife :

You are the beginning, middle and end of me.
You are everything and everything in between
Without you I'm less, with you I'm more
You are my world, together nothing can stop us

    Happy Birthday

    Yes, Happy Birthday!

Joe, how did the two of you get into the dog grooming business?

    BTW - cute pooch, too!

What kind of California organic, whole-food, macrobiotic, ethically-grown, non-GMO birthday cake are you getting her, Joe? <grin>

Happy day, Renee - hope you have only cuddly small dogs to work on today.

Oddly they have these "Nothing Bunt Cake" places here and they are seriously delicious. So we have one of those

Morning Breakfast starting with prosecco mimosas, my version of California avocado toast, eggs in a hole with tomato, bacon & avocado.

Really haven't figured out dinner plans yet.

The cake looks lovely - I can feel my blood sugar count rising as I look at it. (dammit...)

Pretty simple, when I met Renee I was kinda a marginal man. I had lost my marriage, my business, my home, I was working various underemployed jobs. I felt she could do much better than a bum like me. I asked her what her passion was ? She had been working for a mobile groomer and she said she would love to have her own Mobile Pet Grooming business. A light bulb went off, I knew I could write a business plan and I could see years down the road, multiple vans and a viable business to what we have now. I did research and analyzed everything about the industry. I wrote a business plan, designed the vans, marketing, set up POS systems, and credit card processing etc etc etc.

All the time trying to show her I had "Potential" and had more to offer. She was looking for someone to believe in her and give her direction in her life. Together we are better and we fit in the gaps that are missing in the other.

While I know pretty much all of the story above from past posts, Joe, I don't know what motivated you and Renee to do the Jed Clampett action and move to Californ-I-a.

Happy Birthday, entrepreneurial genius. Anyone who can get a lounge lizard like Joe mobilized has talent.

However, for the moment, we don't require your no doubt excellent services.

Not a problem when you have a business that you can never leave.
When you can take the pebble from my hand, it will be time for you to leave.

So on a whim we drove out to Palm Springs to celebrate. It was blistering hot pushing 100║. So I decided to charm our way into the rooftop pool bar at the brand new sexy Rowan Hotel.

Then we had an amazing dinner with new friends we met

My favorite TV show growing up was The Rockford Files I always loves the way Jim Rockford would charm his way into places. He even had a little business card printer in his car ( a cool a$$ 70's gold Pontiac Firebird )

One last birthday surprise. When we came home from Palm Springs this gift basket was waiting for her.

Our apprentice, now graduated to full time groomer, took it upon herself to get Renee a birthday basket. Renee was on the verge of tears. She's never owned a company or had employees. This grand gesture by someone that we work with makes how we are treating those that choose to work with us so important. I'm very proud of the people we have and how caring we are all to one another. I truly hope that this company soul is scalable as we continue to grow.
