Actually they're from Pope Sails in Maine and Tanbark color - probably from Challenge Sailcloth or maybe Dimension Polyant's "classic" line.

    That's a great buy, IMHO.

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

    No.

[though she is purty & I like the tanbark sails. They need to spend some time with wind in 'em to get out the wrinkles!]

Why on earth would anyone treat some fairly new sails like those have been treated?

Probably with a rope horse across the stern.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

If I didn't already have a trailer sailer, I'd buy that.

Nick, Your sheet goes to cleats on the lee side,no?
This one goes to an open cam cleat forward orf the block. I believe we are seeing the sheet coiled into a lump just hanging there .
Looks like shes hardly been sailed or broken in . Lookit the plastic "oardeals" slipped over the oar leathers, fer instance.
    no big deal

I agree those three cleats look like a bad lash up. With a small boat like that you could just hold the main sheet in your hand so the cam cleat with no fairlead could have been fitted for anything. If it is for the mainsheet the lack of fairlead is a bad mistake.

Seems to be missing some shrouds and a stay

I would put money on it that boat's never been sailed

On the other hand, with a little bit of sorting, what a deal
