I'm not quite sure what to think, whether it's the British vision of a luxury SUV influenced by the Germans, perhaps Germany's idea of what an English SUV should look like. I think that both the Brits and Germans are capable of creating nice looking automobiles, I think the only solution is that Germans and Brits should never be allowed to reproduce.

It might be called an SUV, but when you look, whatever you want to call it, its a car with about the same space and headroom as used to be usual in a luxury vehicle back in the 20s and 30s, nice.

Given that Bentley, which is owned by Volkswagen, have had the Bentayga on sale for a while now it shouldn't be too surprising that the BMW owned Rolls-Royce should want a similar vehicle to tempt the same customers.

Some have Land Rover Evoque convertibles

    Jaguar SUV's

What ever happened to the rich gravitating towards true estate cars ( station wagons ) ?

Give me an AMG Estate or a Audi even the Ferrari FF is weirdly sexy

And yes I've seen that one driving around the PCH in Newport Coast.

The Rolls SUV front end calls to mind the Lincoln pickup.

I should have reviewed some pictures of the Lincoln before I said that. Must have been thinking of a custom jobbie with a billet grill.

Whatever, the point is the Rolls looks dated, and not in a good way.

The power folding bench option includes part of the load floor raising to make it flat when the rear seats are down.
    are down.

Perfect for when you're homeless and living out of the back of your car. Doesn't look very wide though.

Of course,Lamborghini were at it a long while before any of these latecomers and having their roots in off road vehicles i.e. tractors they built one that worked. Not a great looker admittedly, but effective and rapid.I suspect all the VW large off-roaders share a floorpan.
