    Default Russian money to NRA

Remember a short time ago when the NRA said they only had one donation on record from Russia?

Thanks to Oregon Senator, Ron Wyden, we now know about 23.

I wonder how many more will surface. All of then so far have been pretty small-time amounts. I'm guessing any larger amounts will be far better shielded.

I have no truck with the NRA at all, but subscriptions and small donations do not a corrupt organisation make.

You'll have to do better than that.

I agree. But didn't I already say that?

How do you feel about the lying part?

Do you think there is more - yet uncovered? I'm leaning that way.

Lying or just not bothering to check?

    The investigation continues.

    https://www.pbs.org/newshour/nation/...nding-spending

Frazer said in a March 19 letter to Wydenís office that while some of that money was transferred between NRA accounts, none of it has gone toward influencing U.S. elections or political campaigns.
Under U.S. law, foreign entities arenít allowed to influence U.S. elections.

Wyden also asked for more information, including internal metrics, about foreign money used by the NRA for media campaigns or other efforts that were consumed by the public.

The back-and-forth comes after McClatchy, citing anonymous sources, reported in January that federal investigators were probing whether an ally of Russiaís president gave to the group to support Donald Trumpís 2016 presidential campaign.
