Default Small Reach Regatta 2018 need a boat?

    Folks,
Working on the 2018 edition of the Small Reach Regatta. If you are from away it is possible to borrow a boat and find a crew or find someone who needs a crew. On offer right now is a Delaware ducker ( for the nimble), a Afjords faering square or lugged perhaps a different experience ( with instruction), and a Harrier ( with the designer as crew). Adult beverages are the charter fee.

Not this year but I have a dream going on a wooden boat vacation visiting Mystic seaport etc. in US. Small Reach Regatta would be a dream to be a part of, because i dont know of comparable regattas here in Norway!! Hope I you can save the offer for later,,, and yes the Afjords faering would be perfect :-) Think I must read more about SRG and plan a future trip and visit you folks :-)

    Regards Fred

Pending preparation for a wedding and regular business activities, I'd be happy to facilitate the fetching of a one of the two original Deer Isle Kosters owned by Bruce Elfstrom.

I intend to participate this year, though I'll be bringing a boat. Not sure which boat, yet, but there's a possibility I'll have room for crew.
Very much looking forward to it.

I'd LOVE to sail one of the DIKs, Clint. Sadly, I'll be in Lunenburg then.

It was wonderful seeing you at MEBBrs last week. I hope it was a good show for you?

Sounds like the rumor that you were fleeing the country for a more salubrious venue is true, eh?

Good to see you at MBBS, Carl. Have fun in NS.

I like to refer to the Deer Isle Kosters as KDI's as DIK is not good for marketing

If anyone wants to borrow a KDI from Deer Isle, give us plenty of lead time! It is a bit of leg work to get them out of storage, still a fair bit if they are on their moorings. This family enjoyed their KDI.

Gungkholing off Lunenburg versus dodging powerboats in Portland Harbor? -- salubrious indeed, Ben.

    KDI it is then, Clint.

    Thanks, both.
