Default Thursday music - hot blues from unexpected sources

Back when Peter Green led the band, Fleetwood Mac did damn fine blues:

Hope for the best, but plan for the worst.

Well, now I've found it on-line, and am listening to it as I type this. Too bad it is all compressed and everything for digital transmission. Nice, so far.

Steve Marriot, one time member of British pop band "The Small Faces" had a remarkable soul/blues voice. His later band "Humble Pie" gave him a better chance to use it.

The last guitarist on the video above was Christone 'Kingfish' Ingram. Here is a quote by him.

Hi guys. This is video is from July of last year. I don't play my solos at lightning speed anymore. 😂 I've learned how to slow it down and feel more! Thank you guys for watching

Not, "surprising," but I came across this old footage and thought I'd share it. Frank Marino rips! And i was a loyal viewer of the "Midnight Special," TV show back in the day. Here's Mahogany Rush. ( A name that might warrant official WBF band status? )
