Default Gougeon 19 foot Sailing Canoe Everglades 2018

Despite living in England and only a 0.0001% chance of ever entering I am fascinated by the Everglades challenge. When Meade Gougeon sadly passed away last year I presumed it was the end of the development of his canoe tri Elderly Care.

I was watching a start video and noticed in the background Elderly Care and after a bit of digging it appears to be bing sailed by Matt Scharl as Gamera. He is doing rather well and appears to be leading class 3

Another craft which interested me is Dave Gentry and his Indonesian Perahu Katir double outrigger sailing canoe. I think this is the craft in question

Is there a news thread on the event?
I read elsewhere that one participant died (possibly heart failure) and several others had to be rescued.
Thanks for any information you can provide.

The best way to track what is happening is through the Watertribe website which includes a tracking map and discussion section.

    Sounds familiar
There is no rational, logical, or physical description of how free will could exist. It therefore makes no sense to praise or condemn anyone on the grounds they are a free willed self that made one choice but could have chosen something else. There is no evidence that such a situation is possible in our Universe. Demonstrate otherwise and I will be thrilled.

The Anarchy guys weren't interested (mostly) and that was about the actual race, not the boat.

Sorry, I thought this was a thread I just started asking about plans.
