Sorry to hear this, my sympathies.

My parents are long gone, in both cases it was their time but they live on in my memory.

My father died in the late 90s and I still miss him. The times when I wish I’d paid more attention to his stories but was too busy with my own thoughts.

Kevin - I was asked to pass along condolences and good wishes from the Banned Camp pub contingent: Curtis, Glen, and the Tulsmanian Devil. They're thinking of you too.

Sorry, it's the worst and there's no avoiding it. My Dad was sick with mesothelioma (asbestos) and we all knew it was coming . But it hurt so much, 40 years later it still hurts.

Sorry to learn of your loss mate. My father passed a year ago, we all knew it was coming, but that knowledge didn't take the sting out when it came.

Try to hear your fathers whisper in your blood, it's there if you listen.

    All the best,
    Martin.

    Kevin,

No matter how "domesticated" we are, nothing prepares us for this.

I had a strange premonition of my father's death. To dinner with my lady. Out of the blue I ask her, "How do you think you'll feel when one of your parents dies?" We were in our early twenties, none of our parents were sick, so it was a shock to get the call that evening.

The other night, almost forty years after his passing and close to thirty since my mother's, I had a dream. Very simple. I'm seated with both my parents around a small table, I tell them that I love them very much, we all bow our heads and weep. I awoke with a profound sense of peace.

I'm so sorry for your loss, ol' WBF bud. The sadness never goes away, but it does change.
