The crew there is doing an amazing job. They had to raise the transom a foot when rebuilding to get the sheer correct again! She'll be quite something to see and they intend to sail her to this schooner get-together: https://www.sailmainecoast.com/plan-...al-events-2018

Well that’s good to hear. I was at the Museum for her arrival and she was looking a little dumpy back there.

I took a peek at Mary E. this afternoon. Looking great. Motor is in, deck/hatches look pretty much complete, hull looks ready for paint. Looks like they're doing a fantastic job. I work on Merrymeeting, the museum's tour boat, and we'll be doing double duty aboard Mary E. as well this season. Fun summer in store.

I'll be at the Show with a D-Street Dory almost done (built by Compass Project and I am finishing out as a sailing version) and a customer's Echo Bay. Neither boat looks like I wanted them to look as far as spit and polish but they will be present as will I. It's been an incredibly busy start to the year.

Hopefully, the snow is not too much a pain tomorrow morning. I'm going to wait until they boats are inside to clean them! I will have some OCH videos on an endless loop and lots of info to share. Please come visit. I am on the main floor, I think close to the entrance.

Where are Steve and Alix? I wish I could make it to these events. Our boat show here is full of plastic fantastic crap. And a booth full of bronze bling that is priced out of reach of all but the extremely wealthy.

I hope they can garner plenty of support for their project. I really enjoy watching the videos. Too bad video production is such a time consuming or expensive proposition. A professionally documented build like this would be awesome to watch as well and would free up Alix to be able to work on boat and not video. I'm enjoying watching his videos improve too. It's quite good work and I look forward to watching him get even better as he keeps at it. Cheers guys and keep up the awesome work.

Steven, I got to visit with Jim Ledger yesterday. What an incredible project he’s got underway.
That plus the museum was a serious catboat kinda day!

I am sorry I missed the show this year. The companionway lights I picked up last year at the marine salvage place are going on the new house. I also would have liked to hear that talk about the Torqeedo drive with the folding prop. That’s what I’m planning on installing in Catnapper.

Very cool, Mark. Sounds like an awesome day. I actually took a couple of pics tonight. Here we are, most of us, I didn’t get everyone:

Yes, thank you Bauers! Meg and I had a great time and really appreciate the hospitality. Looking forward to seeing Talisman back on the water, but hope in the interim you will join us this summer for a sail aboard Rawalpindi. -Ben

    Absolutely!

I didn't think to get to get a pic of Steve and Alix’s talk so I stole this one from Facebook:
