Very cool. Who doesn't love a Ford Model T?

They always remind me of Mecchano sets.

That was six years after the construction of the first concrete-paved road in the country. Cars had to be tough.

Pop had a T. Bought it together with his father in I'd guess 1934 or so. That would have made him 16. The family story goes that grand-dad, who I never met, was a strict ol'-school German who rarely let my father drive it!

Yep, by rep. tough little buggies! And what a revolution, for good and ill, they began!

An observation made by Steinbeck in his novel "Cannery Row". Paraphrase. "Men of the era knew more about the carburetor of a Model T than they knew about the clitoris."

Might still be true of a great deal of males of the species.

Wonder how the automobile has factored into that equation?!

Great cartoon! Somehow, I doubt it would pass muster with the thought police these days. Except as a cultural artifact to be deconstructed - and undoubtedly shamed to ruin!
