Default Joansa by John Welsford. New build.

Building won't really begin until after I've sold my Argie 15. However, I've started to cut out templates etc. so that I'm ready, hopefully in the spring. For now I've built the transom because I had some left over walnut which I planed down to 1/8th and laminated to a ply base. Joansa 8 - Transom.jpg

    OK Roy!

One of two: You like building better than boating?.....or... you like rowing better than sailing?

    Hi Fred,
Yes, I do enjoy building and that includes anything made of wood. As to my favourite way to get on the water, I find that our local sea and wind conditions favour rowing over sailing. Did I mention that this will be my second Joansa? It's a really sweet design that not only looks beautiful but also rows exceptionally well.

Always nice to see another of John's boats realized. I'm about to start on a Navigator for a client. Looking forward to it.
