You're wrong; it is our call. This is still a democracy, and the decisions about what our government does are in the end subject to the will of the voters. Blathering on endlessly about what ought to be done, and the virtues and faults of elected officials, is one of the things virtuous citizens of a functioning democracy do. You may prefer a more streamlined system; examples abound, but they don't have a good record. And after blathering, we go out and vote. Sorry SB, for all its tedium, confusion and faults, this is how democracy works. Deal with it.
