    Default Cape Cod Snipe?

My Grandmother(Nana) on Cape Cod 1955ish. Is that a Snipe? Looks a little too big?

Looks more like a Cape Cod Knockabout.

The Snipe is 15 1/2 ft LOA. That looks bigger.

Ian's got it. Too big, and the Snipe has a daggerboard.

Mom would never have consented to this pic had she been awake. My brother Robin and my sister Shane are in the water by the mast while I am fantasizing command even though the boat's aground and the rudder has been shipped.

This preWWII Cape Cod Knockabout had a rounded coaming at the front of the cockpit and the centerboard when up did not rise above the centerboard trunk.

Mine didn't. Mine swung, but it was a very old one. Bought for $100.00 from a neighbor.
