Default Mass shooting of the day!

Today we bring you a mass shooting from Maryland:

5 shot at Maryland office park, authorities say

Five people have been shot at an office park in the Maryland community of Edgewood, and the shooter is believed to be on the loose, a deputy with the Harford County sheriff's office said Wednesday morning. The shooter left the scene -- the Emmorton Business Park in Edgewood, roughly 30 miles northeast of Baltimore -- and no one has been arrested, the deputy said.
Five schools in the Edgewood area were placed on lockdown -- meaning students are being kept in the buildings, and visitors are not permitted -- as a precaution at the advice of the sheriff's office, the county school system said on its website.
We can confirm we on the scene of a shooting in the Emmorton Business Park. Multiple injuries reported.

That's a small town on the upper bay where the Edgewood Arsenal used to perform chemical weapons research (not that any of that is relevant). I know the place. I guess I'm surprised, but I can't think of any reason to be. This is the national epidemic and no place is without risk of this happening.

Evidently there are not enough guns in the hands of good people to prevent gun assaults by bad people.
Guess we'll have to put more guns in circulation...

No problem, there is a gun show in town this weekend!

How many other cities are being as proactive as to have a gun show this weekend?

    3 killed 2 wounded

A Maryland sheriff says three people have been killed and two were wounded during a shooting at an office park in the northeastern part of the state.
Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler identified the shooter Wednesday morning as 37-year-old Radee Labeeb Prince. He says Prince opened fire with a handgun and police are looking for him. He is considered armed and dangerous.
The suspect and the victims were all associated with a company at the Emmorton Business Park in Edgewood. The sheriff says the two wounded people are in serious condition.
Nearby schools have been locked down as a precaution.
The business park is just south of the Interstate 95 interchange with Route 24.

Divert any blame from the easy availability of Firearm. Check.

If only all of America could be so progressive.
There is no rational, logical, or physical description of how free will could exist. It therefore makes no sense to praise or condemn anyone on the grounds they are a free willed self that made one choice but could have chosen something else. There is no evidence that such a situation is possible in our Universe. Demonstrate otherwise and I will be thrilled.

    Look at this:

Shooting in an area where shooting is illegal, "no shooting" signs were posted, no decent back stop, no concern for what was down range. These two guys murdered a man, could easily have murdered more, and the event is an "accident."
No accountability at all. A travesty of justice.

Did you read about this guy's criminal record? And all the times the prosecutor declined to proceed? What's with that?

He looks, in retrospect, like a time bomb.

this is one of the reasons I have trouble excusing prosecutors... plea bargaining to avoid work

Plea bargaining is a work around for the sixth amendment.
If everyone insisted on their right to a trial by jury instead of being intimidated by threats of long sentences ( cruel and unusual punishment) the system would have to change.

This doesn't qualify as a mass shooting but it's still early in the day.

    3 dead elementary school!

    https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/3-...I9M?ocid=ientp

TEHAMA COUNTY, Calif. (KCRA) —Three people were killed in a shooting Tuesday morning that started at a home and moved to an elementary school in Tehama County, and the shooter was also killed by law enforcement, the sheriff's department said.
Multiple shots were fired about 8 a.m. at Rancho Tehama School on the outskirts of Corning, Assistant Sheriff Phil Johnston said.
"I know that we have (airlifted) a number of students," Johnston said. "I know that the school's been cleared. I know that we have children that were attending school in a safe location at this time."
Officers are investigating at least five scenes in and around the school.
An employee with the Corning Unified School District said there were reports of an active shooter at the school, and there were confirmed injuries.
A man spoke with KCRA's affiliate Action News Now and said that his truck was stolen and his roommate was shot and killed by the gunman.
"He's dead. He didn't make it," the witness said. "For his family and everything, I feel bad, and we'll be there for them."
The roommates lived near the gunman, and the surviving witness said that their neighbor had been shooting a lot of rounds recently.
"The crazy thing is that the neighbor has been shooting a lot of bullets lately, hundreds of rounds, large magazines," he said. "This guy has been crazy, and he's been threatening us and everything. I just feel like there maybe should have been more effort put into stopping things like this."
No additional details have been released.
KCRA has a crew on the way to the scene.

I visited a high school today and talked to some of the freshmen. They were bright, interested, asked questions, and were an absolute delight. The thought of this going on day after day is so repugnant to me that I cannot express myself in acceptable language.
