Called my freind, asked to pick me up @ Phillipsland.
Rowed out of the harbour, set sail for flipland.
The wind had already picked up bit.
I was constantly out on my rail.
A fun ride albeit a bit short got me to flipland.

Great story Maarten! Looking forward to more.

Tideride is not an expression we normally use in in English, but we should. It perfectly captures what happens.

The wind covered me up in coffeepowder when I filled the bialetti.
Still managed to brew a decent cupa.
Ate some sandwiches and unloaded the boat.

Shortly after, my freind came to pick me up.
We had a cognac on my little adventure.
He drove me to schelphoek to retrieve car and trailer. Thx. Mate.
@ schelphoek it really was blowing.
I was glad I'd made the decision to finish @ the krabbekreek.

Your story somehow led me to a blog about harvesting wild oysters in the Oostershelde. I canít wait for that installment.

    Thanx for props and links.
I got a bit of annex.
Went to Antwerp last weekend to celebrate my wifes birthday.
    Visited the scheepvaart museum.
Remember the bank I was stranded on?
It was near the Island "Tholen".
    Well,...

This "Hogaarsjacht" was built in 1929 in the "duivendijk" yard @ Tholen.

And some other interesting dutch vessels, probably with less of a link to the scheldedelta.

Thanks for the museum pictures. Didn't know there was one in Antwerp. Definitely worth a visit next time I visit my family.
