Remember when folks ridiculed Obama for the jeans he wore, or pointed out such character flaws as narcissism? Good lord what a train wreck.

It's not your intelligence, it's how you use it. DT uses his for all the wrong reasons.

"Some of those abilities that aren’t tested by IQ tests are what psychologists collectively refer to as “executive function”. That would include things like avoiding distraction, dedicating oneself to a task, knowing when you need to take a break, knowing when to build on someone else’s work rather than re-inventing the wheel, knowing how to interact with others in a way that doesn’t stress either party out, etc. Colloquially, some aspects of executive function are often called “soft skills”.
Lots of people with high “hard skills” and low “soft skills” wind up “behaving like morons”."

The fact that believing and suggesting that a mere IQ test might indicate competence says it all.

Hey, we could have elected a stripper! I remember when the Italians elected one to office - fortunately for them she wasn't running the country.

Remember Trump the Rump is a flimflam man. It is what he isn't drawing attention to that you have to look at.

Notice how Trump phrased it: "compare IQ tests." Sounds like he wants to use a result from back when he could talk at more than a 4th grade level.

Tillerson's probably got a much stronger grip.

There is a least one writer supporting trmp that claims that since he went to Wharton, which is so prestigious it only takes the brightest, that he must therefore have the genius IQ.

Except that tmrp didn't get accepted to Wharton. He transferred there and with his real estate mogul daddy's help.

You'll see trmp's IQ test the same time you'll see the tax returns and the diary entry for the golden precipitation in the Russina bed chamber.

Put Tillerson's having been the CEO of the world's largest oil company, against donnytwoscoops' inherited real estate empire, and my money is on Rex, for which one of them is not a moron. But how smart could Tillerson be, to become trmp's secretary of state, in the first place?

I figure Rex believed that he'd have a CEO relationship with Trump as the Chair of the Board. That Tillerson took what he thought were general "governance" like directions from Trump and Trump's people, but had the free scope to organize his shop and carry out the Board's direction with a pretty free management hand.

That's not been the case. He underestimated how much he'd overestimated the Chairman.

Tom, Tom, Tom. You're putting way too much thoughtful intelligent experience into this.

Just what are you up to, anyway?

I hate to say it, but Trump's IQ might be pretty dang high. Its been my experience that people with mental health issues often have (much) higher than average raw intelligence.

I don't doubt that Trump has at least an acceptable level of IQ. It seems that he is deficient in empathy, attention level and self-control, though.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders told the White House press corps, "He made a joke. Maybe you guys should get a sense of humor and try it sometime.”

Which begs the question, "Since when does the President of the United States of America make such 'jokes' about members of his cabinet?"

Trump is a complete embarrassment to the U.S.A.

But that is the least of our problems with this man. He is downright unstable and dangerous.

Usually there is a wait of some years before we get to read what a President thinks about his colleagues and appointments.
Not any more, next day's tweets do it all.
An unofficial Trump presidential library (LOL with great gusto!!) should be under way already lest he deletes them all before the melt down.

Add to that self-esteem. Uncontrollable braggarts are people with low self-image and a pathological need for validation. In other words, children.

It must suck being his press secretary, a thankless job regardless of whom you serve. Isn't she the one who said of his throwing paper towels out in Puerto Rico, "he was having fun?" What a jovial guy!

Mensa has offered to test both of them.

Personally, I agree. People see a president who's not good at the job, and think the problem is intelligence. George W Bush, for example, struck me as a guy who was smart enough, but whose weak character made him a bad president. Trump's bad character and possibly narcissistic personality disorder make him a bad president, but that doesn't mean he's dumb.

On the other hand, it's quite possible there's been some mental decline. Old videos of him seem to show a quite different man.
