    I like Michalak's Toto. I weigh 220. Is that a good match?

You are not too heavy for the boat. The more important question is can you sit comfortably in the boat. That has more to do with physical condition than weight. I toyed with the idea of building something canoe"ish", but decided against it as I doubt that I could sit comfortably for very long in it. I am heavy, but more important are a spinal injury and arthritis. A cruising dinghy/beach cruiser with a seat is the minimum for me. If you are healthy and bend more easily you will be fine. Good luck - John

At age 64, I'm around 185 and not too limber anymore. I can get into my solo canoe, but getting out is another question!!
I was born on a wooden boat that I built myself.
