Default Arts and Crafts: If you make stuff post it here

OK, I started this thread because Jay Greer was curious about my screen name, and what kind of woodwork I do. Truth is, I have two old plywood boats to restore (a Drascombe Longboat and a GP14 dinghy) so I don't have a lot of time for craft work. But here are a few things that I have made recently. I'm sure many of you are artists or artisans, and it would be cool if you would post what you make here.

A garden bench in Arts & Crafts style, Alaskan Yellow Cedar with Mahogany accent stripes..

Well that is a bench that would look good in my own garden! I especially like that third bowl, made of cherry. I like the contrasting natural grain! Thank you for sharing your work Isla!

I made my living and supported my family for a decade or so making wooden boxes, starting with document boxes in a fairly traditional theme.
This is Queensland red cedar, a pleasant material to work with.

Then I started making bandsawn boxes from old hardwood fenceposts and railway sleepers. These were popular and I made 4200 of them and sold them all. This one is in rosewood.

I sometimes make goofy little planes. This one is a round over plane for SOF kayak stringers.

Most of my handcrafts I end up giving away as prizes for our local SCA group. Here are some boxes I cobbled together out of scrap pine and leftover library shelving. We'll see if I can use the Google Photos links or not.

The photos work fine for me. I guess there are still some photo problems on the Forum. Try a different browser? I can see them in Chrome, but they don't show up on Explorer... go figure.

Since photo..ucket did me in, I was trying to use Google Photos to host. I thought it was a viable solution, but I guess not.

    Sorry.

I do a fair amount of leather work, just for fun and our own use.

I refinish or rebuild old-style western rifles (replicas that have seen better days, not antiques) and I designed and built a cabinet to hold them.

and I've rebuilt a few old electric guitars and basses, built amp cabinets, etc.

My wife and I go to highland games a couple times each year. I've designed about 30 tartan patterns and have had four different versions of our favorite pattern woven from wool in Scotland or England. My wife makes us stuff from them.

....and when I really get bored, I do crazy stuff like building an 8' tall folding Sasquatch.

WOW! Some really impressive stuff! Mine are more humble including a small knife in the Japanese style:IMG_4982.jpgIMG_4983.jpgIMG_4984.jpg
And a set of self-nocked arrows on Port Orford Cedar based on some of the Mary Rose finds:
    IMG_5164.jpg

A friend made the arrow bag, also based on a Mary Rose article, I think.
