    Default Cossey Boats

I am doing research on my family's boat building history. Prior to emigrating to Canada in 1903 they ran a boat yard in Runham Vauxhall (outside Yarmouth) England. Once they arrived here they opened shop in Keewatin/Kenora Ontario. One of the boats I have found is the Nahmeoka (picture below). Which was built in 1917 and then restored in 2003 by Peterson Boat works. She can still be seen in the regatta on Lake of the Woods.

My Great Grandfather Herbert opened Cossey and Lake of Kenora Boat works, and Lake of the Woods Boat works. I know my GGGrandfather Thomas Robert went south to work with his brother-in-law R W Harrison in Toledo Ohio. Various members of my family worked for other companies as well in Gravenhurst and Orillia.

I am hoping that someone may have pictures, plans, information on any of the boats they built, companies they worked for or stories of them.
