Default Out of the water all season - Wet her now or in the spring?

I'm the proud new owner of a Joel White Flat Fish. She's been out of the water since December 2016. She's in great condition but a little dry. The rough trailer ride from Florida to Michigan opened a few seams. No plans to sail her this season but am thinking about getting her wet to take up moisture so I can address the seams and paint in the spring. How long do you think it'll take to restore adequate moisture? A day? A week? A month? Or is it point less because she'll just be sitting in my driveway for the winter?

Are you going to keep her on the trailer, or on a mooring?
If on the trailer, how long will each sail be and how many times a week?
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

She'll be moored against my seawall all season starting next spring. Will getting her wet now help me in the spring... seaming and painting?

What you do now will have no "lasting effect" for next spring.

Just so. Leave it until a week or so before you splash her. Then swell her up, caulk if necessary and paint just before launch.
