Trump was essentially a third party or independent candidate. The insiders don't like that and will do everything possible to make him fail. The electorate liked the idea of having an outsider in the White House.

Like the Republicans moved on after the Clintons were exonerated of the many things they were accused of? For some reason, they keep bringing up both Bill and Hillary every time Trump's legal problems are discussed.

It's everywhere. I saw it two hours ago on Talking Points Memo.
A society predicated on the assumption that everyone in it should want to get rich is not well situated to become either ethical or imaginative.

It doesn't seem that way when you look at the Trump White House, but the Clinton Foundation has been audited time and again and they always come up clean. You can repeat the lies, but it does not change the facts.

Trump was well understood before the election. We indeed knew that he's a serial adulterer, a chronic business failure, a money laundry for corrupt Russians, a functional illiterate, a compulsive liar, and a habitual deal welcher. And no dog likes him.

Fox News is blaming the "Deep State". I guess for some believing in conspiracies is more appealing than the truth.

Oh, please. She was one of the best-qualified candidates in recent memory; the only reason she had image problems at all was about 25 years of fear, hate, and lies from the right.

But she still had problems, and not nearly strong enough leader to go to bat in Congress.

Whether her baggage was real or imagined, it was still baggage.

No, what is disgusting is putting forth the only person in America that couldn't beat Trump.
A candidate that even the Democratic base stayed home for....

Jack, your stance on Trump seems to have softened over the past couple of months - are you suffering from "voter's remorse"?

You know, that's a commonly accepted narrative, but I don't think it's actually true. Trump was elected because about 63 million Americans were stupid or deluded enough to vote for him. That is not the fault of the Democratic Party.

What are you doing about it?

Go back to #96, click play and listen. Listen to it a couple of times, let it sink in.
63 million voters with an over developed sense of butt hurt were conned into voting for a ******* POS criminal. Own it.

Jack's a stealth Trumpist. He's been vocal in his general whining, tepid but consistent in his personal critique of Trump though entirely silent in any criticism of what Trump's actually doing. And as silent as the grave on the Republican party's responsibility in selecting Trump from a crowded stage of contestants. They didn't screw up by choosing an obvious whacko, No Sir-ee. Not his party's fault at all, even if Jack himself would have preferred Jeb.

But he's outraged, outraged I tell you, by the Dems' running Clinton. That's the reason Trump is in power - push it back far enough, and probably if Hillary had been less crooked Trump would not have been born.

OMFG! Ladies and gentlemen, how can someone who is able to write coherent grammatical English, who seems to know the difference between right and wrong, is from all appearances not entirely mentally deficient - how can somebody possibly write this kind of howling nonsense seriously??? I think he's serious, anyway . . .

The bolded portions are mutually contradictory... but then, I guess that would be your point.
