Had been working on and off on a reverse trike project for some time. We had issues with regulations changing in the speed of battery powered vehicles, and some basic build issues. Laws in the EU are not the same in homebuilt cars, and the design chassis we were intending to use that had been accepted in the UK, for some reason rejected in Sweden. As it was a joint project and my friend has passed, i dont have the needed drive or time at present to push it forward anymore......but im also not going to visit the Morgan showroom and spend $50,000. If i move base back to the UK, i would follow it up, but since Brexit, you could never market the idea in the EU anyway, as it currently stands. The early F series i really liked.

Theres enough speed thrill reverse trikes out there already, our concept was based on touring comfort and economy, but with enough speed not to be tail-gated by trucks.

A VW-powered trike pulled up next to me on the breakwater at Brooklyn on Sunday. When it came time to go, they didn't muck around reversing.....

Can someone explain the advantages or disadvantages of having the two wheels in the front as opposed to having them in the rear? It's something I've been wondering about ever since the upsurge in popularity of three-wheeled bikes started a few years ago. All the new ones seem to have the two wheels in the front.

Two wheels in front is more stable when going forward than two wheels in back.

Two wheels up front is much more stable, but the traditional 2
in the rear has a certain cool factor as many still retain the forks
giving the driver a view of driving a 2 wheel bike.

Serious fun on oversized big wheel. Could make riding even in Florida a hoot as it is all about the drift.

Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

Stability factor of two wheels in front is much more important when cornering.

As far as push bikes go:

The Delta type (two wheels in back) are awesome BECAUSE they are easy to get up on two wheels. Really easy to tip, but relatively easy to control on a tilt.

The tadpole type is MUCH more resistant to tilting, but become nearly uncontrollable when tilted. Also, once the tadpole has reached the point of flipping, it's too late.

    Peace,
    Robert

P.S. My buddy has a tadpole type push bike three wheeler that may, ahem, theoretically, be able to do 45+ MPH with the electric assist, that may have been reprogrammed.

That would be no different than what they sell as trike kits....
Many still consider them trikes even though they have 4 wheels.

I prefer being able to register as motorcycle because you can do
so much more without worrying about pesky safety regulations.

Oh, I am the MASTER of riding these on two wheels. The front and one rear. Unless you modify them, they don't do wheelies, because only one rear wheel drives...

P.S. My friends had one with a rear facing bench seat they used to use for bar hopping...
