Re: Lugger? Whatever, I like it.
From the thread...
They took the basic idea and lines to a Klaas Bes NA who re jigged it for them at the extra length, which with the different rig makes it a different boat to Joel White's, but I think he'd be pretty chuffed with it. He loved a good boat! He adapted many Herreshoffs himself with a careful and respectfull hand.
I think Klaas (re) drew it for stitch and glue, though they lapped it in the end. Being hyper critical, the only thing you might want to consider is getting the frames out of it if you want to lie in the bottom of the boat, or look at the ergonomics of some floorboards.
For plans mail to Klaas Bes: [email protected]

Re: Lugger? Whatever, I like it.
Gentle forumites, I am not yet familiar with the WB forum procedures but do my best. 1 plans of my lugger 'Lucia", still rather basic, are available, mail Klaas Bes. 2 I am adding a new article on my blog with highlights and mishaps in the Morbihan , Brittanny this spring. And when you go to my website and hit the button 'Media" you will find a bit more film and pictures of small boats. Best via video 'Two luggers at play'. Enjoy, Frank van ZoestComment

Alan, can you wait till octobre? Then the plans will be ready. There are 3 persons involved and we all are on holiday at different times. Plans will be basic first (and cheap) and we expect to fill in details during that stage, working with the first builders. FrankComment

Looks a heck of a lot like the Calendar Islands Yawl...Comment

I thought so too when I saw the Calendar Yawl in Small Boat Monthly the first time. But now I think my boat is more of a rowing boat that goes sailing and the CIY is a daysailer that can also be rowed. And my boat is a bit simpler. FrankComment
