    There were pages and pages of what appeared to be chinese characters and random letters.

    SparTalk has been stuck since May with a post (don't even think of opening)

    Brian Toss made a number of attempts over the last year to protect against this stuff and now appears to have just given up. His IT vendor is not as good as Scott.

    An English guy posted a question on B&R. About adding some timber to his transom because his outboard shaft was too long for the boat.

    He appears to have a virus on his computer, which led to multiple threads being posted here with what looked like Japanese text to me. Maybe it was Chinese.... but I'm going with Japanese.

    These random threads kept breeding......

    They were ads for gambling websites (google translate is awesome). I think it was only on B&R when I looked (7:30am, NZ time), did the rot spread? It was the only time I have ever pushed the button, but I guess I wasn't the only one.

    As soon as I saw all the Japanese characters and re posts I closed the page and deleted history and cookies just in case.

    Same thing over in the YBF forum. Several pages of script 'Chinese'? About émoticons. Got binned as soon as the mods were awake. Seems he C&P a genuine question about rigs, so was cleared to post, then scammed.
