    Default Tragedy struck Family Friends.......

Those around Philly have most likely heard about the young man hit and killed
on the Schuylkill Expressway last night. Sean was a childhood friend of my son
and the son of my wife's longtime friend Annemarie. Run down by a hit and run
driver. Donna got the call early this morning from her and has spent the better part
of today talking with her off and on....

Sean had developed issues 5-6 years ago with bipolar and schizophrenia and would
Take off for periods of time..... Without his meds.....this was one of those times. Mom
had not seen him in 2 weeks this time......

Regardless, no parent should have to bury a child.

I am very sorry for this. It always shakes one, when such a thing touches someone you know.

There are two kinds of boaters: those who have run aground, and those who lie about it.

Mental health deficits and super-highways do NOT mix well. Sorry the bustard that hit him didn't have the cojones to stop and attempt to render aid, but c'est la vie.

Condolences to the family and I hope (but have no real expectation) that they catch the scumbag that didn't stop.

I'm so sorry, Jack. I hope his parents find peace.
One of the most enduring qualities of an old wooden boat is the smell it imparts to your clothing.

    Sorry for your families loss.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

So sorry, Jack. Thoughts and prayers to all.
So many questions, so little time.
