    Nice!
One of the most enduring qualities of an old wooden boat is the smell it imparts to your clothing.

The water is too ripply. That would upset my delicate senses.

I could never wallow in such abject indecency.

Well, I was trying to be nice about it. I mean it is a SAIL boat (ugh, how droll), and it has a varnished transom. Who in the heck would ever want that kind of tripe on a boat?

    Whatever floats your, um, boat.

    Peace,
    Robert

Aren't you glad you didn't buy that glass cruising sloop with the punky deck last year, and instead held out for the chance at a truly classic wooden boat?
Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.

What's that thing people say when they really like a boat and want to delude themselves they would buy it if they could? "It's on the wrong coast...if only it were closer..."

PHALAROPE feels like I could sail her home through the NW Passage. C'mon global warming!

Someone is clearly procrastinating, that bag of potatoes won't peel itself, nor will the deck swab itself.

If you can't locate your boat in the mooring field, don't panic, she's set up for single-handing.

Enjoy the canal, note the temperature difference, if you have a way of measuring the water temp. Lookout for the railway bridge. Are you heading for Provincetown, save a bucket of incredulity for when you cross Stellwagen bank, just after leaving P-town.

Thanks Gareth. Yes, Provincetown here we come once Steven is aboard and the current is right.

I always carry extra incredulity these days.

A grocery run at Onset? More like a very long walk, I would think. Haven't been there since 2013, but as I recall, the only thing in the harbor area was a convenience store... not exactly a grocery.

Breeze is coming from Provincetown and we don't want to motor, don't want to arrive in the dark, so we are headed 30 at 4 knots for the foreseeable future. See ya!

Seems good to me. I just spent an hour listening to Lee singing and playing guitar. Now he's cooking us dinner.

    It is.

I am deeply disappointed. I was hoping for a photo of the LFH Rozinante Phalarope. I guess this will have to do.....
