Deepest condolences. We lost my brother Robin to a climbing fall when he was but a couple years older than Simon. The impact on Mom and Dad was very very hard. As with my brother, Simon lived a singularly worthy life. This is scant comfort in the moment but will become more meaningful with time. May Simon's compassion continue to flow through you.

    So sorry at your loss.
It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

I can't imagine what you must be feeling. Remember to take care of yourself, and the others, who loved him.

Thank you all for your condolences.

The last time I was at the WoodenBoat Show in Mystic I took Simon and my father. That was in 2007 when Simon was 9. The next day the three of us also went sailing.

Whenever I would scold Simon for spending (what I considered) too much time playing video games, he would always retort, "Well at least I'm not spending as much time as you are on the WoodenBoat Forum!"

Best wishes to you and yours, Brian. Take care. An immense loss.

Very sorry for your loss, Brian - far too young.
