Default What I did in my wooden boat today

I spend most of my time in the design part of the forum but have noticed a total lack of activity, like me most of you are out enjoying being on the water.

That gave me the idea for this thread, and to start off

doesn't need to be a video, a picture or two would be grand

Took the ridiculous teak veneer off Wonderlands cabin and put xylole on the ply.

..which leads to a hundred little things, a bigger booby hatch, third set of shrouds, freshen engine, bigger bowsprit, cockpit modification...

    What's a booby hatch?

And what's that green groovy looking watering can type implement?

You have a great yard Bruce.

Isn't 3 sets of shrouds 2 too many?

Booby hatch is the cover for the companionway, in lieu of a sliding hatch.Second photo. Did I invent that word?
The green thing is an electric blower.
The third set are forward lowers, insurance against the tabernackled mast,(not a fan).

Looks like you are having lots o' fun! We are enjoying lots o' varnishing! "Booby Hatch" was and is usually the one with the spray shield over a ladder hatch usually the fore hatch into the focsl.

Making room for the prospective build of a ply planked rowing skiff. Design unresearched yet.
I have found a FG single going cheap…….with 'ores', and issues. but I think I need something a little more seaworthy. And a 7m boat for 1?
    Tempted though.

I tied two of my boats to a trailer so I can drag them around with a car.

    Whee!

    Peace,
