    Default ABC 20/20 Watergate special

ABC did a wonderful 2 hour recap of Watergate.
What a total cock-up it was.
It began with the lookout guy, who was supposed to be watching for cops from an office across the street. Instead, he turned on a tv and got enthralled with "Attack Of The Puppet People".
It was all downhill from there.

I watched this program, an amazing story.

I didn't really learn anything new from it. But the show was pretty thorough and well documented.

hahahahaha, the time of airing this special was none to subtle.

It prompted me to learn and remember a bit more about Mark Felt.

"The Attorney General in the Carter administration, Griffin B. Bell, investigated, and on April 10, 1978, a federal grand jury charged Felt, Miller, and Gray with conspiracy to violate the constitutional rights of American citizens by searching their homes without warrants."

(A " Black Bag" man, he was pardoned by Ray Gun)

    See, so there it is.

    All the parts are here:

    1) 'Reagan', which can easily be corrupted to 'Ray Gun',

    2) Ray Gun was often accused of practicing 'cowboy politics/, especially in the realm of foreign affairs, and

    3) Ray Gun suffered from hydrocephalus, which makes yer brain-pan go into overpressure mode, and kick out weird, rambling incoherent attempts at language.

    1) Ray Gun.

    2) Cowboy.

    3) Spaced Out.

Space Cowboy with a Ray Gun?

I don't know, but I have been trying to make a decent joke outta those three parts for damned near forty years, now, and I just can't seem to make it 'snap', you know what I mean?

I don't think he had Hydrocephalus, he was just an idiot. Another celebrity thinking he was presidential material, but in reality just another corporate puppet. Corporate love those puppet types, and a little flattery goes a long way. Usually a war or some other profitable escapade is the result.

(My mother at about 50 had Hydrocephalus and if left untreated the progression is pretty brutal.
She was undiagnosed for quite a while until a neurosurgeon introduced himself to my father at a public park and suggested that the "shuffle" in her walk was very likely that. Soon after she had a shunt put in place, but by then the damage was mostly done)

Jake, I am very sorry to learn of your mother's affliction.

I would not wish it upon any one.

I'm thinking something slap stick, along the lines of Q="Why did Noddy have a bell in his hat?" A="Cause he was a tool....." kind of thing?

"What does Noddy and a Spaced out Cowboy with a Ray Gun have in common?"
