That glassy swell looks so realistic , as well as the back lit sails.

I've always been a bit of a Monet fan

"Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome and charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime" Mark Twain... so... Carpe the living sh!t out of the Diem

I'd rather look back at my life and say "I can't believe I did that" instead of being there saying "I wish I'd done that"

It really is quite difficult to build an ugly wooden boat.

    Love Banksy Nick.

Secretive artist Banksy has offered fans a free print if they vote against the Conservatives in a move which could land him in legal trouble.

Widowmaker by Jay Langford of Lunenburg.

I have known Jay since we were teenagers; he has lived an interesting life, being at various times a musician, a deep-sea fisherman, a lobster fisherman, and (obviously) a fine artist. His current 'day job' - AFAIK - is the lead boatbuilder at The Dory Shop in Lunenburg. A man of many talents...

Hope for the best, but plan for the worst.

I met Jay a few years ago. That quiet man warmed me up from 20 feet away.

I like the simplicity of the pencil drawings by John Moll, showing the Chesapeake waterman's lives in the mid 1900s.

#55, Wet Feet, those are totally awesome.

How about a painting of a painter painting boating scenes?
